Cnoi Cil: Bai ar Gam?

The summer of 1831 was a very turbulent time in the history of Merthyr Tydfil town. What was life like there about 200 years ago? Do you know the history of the rebellion? Who was responsible for it? And which young man was wrongly blamed? You will find answers to these questions and more while reading and discussing this book.

This is a series of 6 Welsh books suitable for reciprocal or team reading. You will get 5 copies of the book and a set of role-play cards in each pack. The cards include the roles of The Predictor, The Leader, The Explainer, The Questioner and The Summariser.

Providing a range of teaching methods to develop pupils' reading skills including reciprocal reading is core to Curriculum for Wales requirements. Learners will work as a team to their skills, through questioning and self-examining, making inferences and determining the importance of the information.
